Lies Wives Believe
A Satirical Look at Married Life
Early to bed, early to rise?
Author: MInTheGap
For the past three years-plus of marriage, I’ve managed to get around 6 to 7 hours of sleep each night. Granted, I prefer eight (or nine or ten) hours of dreamland, but I’ll take what I can get.
Hubby, on the other hand, regularly gets his full ten hours of sleep. Why is this, do you ask? Well, Hubby’s job doesn’t demand that he be at work directly at 8 a.m. Sometimes he can come in at 9 or 10 a.m. Or sometimes even after lunch (don’t get me wrong, though; his work is very demanding and requires a lot of night work and a lot of traveling). Also, it helps that his “getting ready” in the mornings does not include curling hair, putting on makeup, or getting sweet little Superdog prepared for a day without Mommy and Daddy (i.e. bathroom time, food time, a little play time before work).
