Introducing Rachel and Lois Lane II
Author: MInTheGap
I have some exciting news today! I’d like to introduce you to two new contributors.
Rachel from Musings of a Future Pastor’s Wife describes herself as follows:
I’m a sinner saved by the grace of Jesus Christ. Wife to "Boaz." Mother to "Princess." Join me as I make my way through life’s ups and downs, strive to be a Proverbs 31 woman, and most of all be changed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes only from Him. I also enjoy warm climates, jazz music, football, boiled seafood, and the occasional beignet. I’m stereotypical like that.
Next there’s Lois Lane II from fearfully, wonderfully made:
I am an absent-minded, coffee-holic professor and have been married to my college sweetheart for three years and counting! We strive daily to be mirrors of God and also have one adorable Chihuahua.
These two fine ladies want to help expose the lies that wives believe, and help us all become better spouses… as well as shine a funny light on married life.
And that’s no lie.
Fiction Characters and Site Ideas
Author: MInTheGap
So, how do you pick on married life, but not let it get too personal. I mean, if we simply talk about generic husbands and wives we may give the impression that it’s our husband or wife that’s saying or doing the wrong types of things.
A short time ago, I came up with the idea of having fictional characters. Having a little bit of fiction in my past1 I thought it would be neat to come up with some fictional characters that could have interactions.
- Albeit not very good fiction—fiction of the teen fiction kind. [↩]
The Idea
Author: MInTheGap
Welcome to the very first post of Lies Wives Believe.
The idea for the site is two fold:
First, we’ll take a look at the husband/wife dynamic as it pertains to the communication between husband and wife—in a funny way, of course.
Second, we’ll take a look at some of the things that wives believe about themselves, and try to shine a light on the truth of the situation.
It should be a lot of fun, and perhaps we’ll get some more wives to help write along the way.
So, join me, if you will, as we journey down the road looking at married life with all of its wrinkles and expectations.
