Mmmm....both!? I think wives (me too!) can easily get into the rut of not wanting to take the time to look nice for their husband (or else thinking they don't have the time). But if you lay your clothes out the night before, it doesn't take any longer to throw on something nice than it does to pull the sweatpants and t-shirt off the pile on the floor. Husbands need to know that they are just as important to look nice for, as the UPS man or the nurse at the dr.'s office.
However...there are days when "dressing nice" doesn't happen. This is when a husband has to be a good man, and tell her she's gorgeous anyways! (And mean it...) And maybe he needs to send her out for a few hours of shopping to find some comfortable clothes for around the house, that are cute and she feels nice in! That ways, even if it is a "sweatpants and t-shirt day", she still feels nice.
It's a give-and-take situation.
